Robinhood Adds SOL, PEPE, ADA, and XRP Following Trump’s Victory

Coinbase (COIN) which now offers all additional HOOD It has partnered with Robinhood to add PEPE to its platform.

All named cryptocurrencies rose slightly with the announcement, as did Bitcoin, which set a new record above US$91.0.

“We are hearing from our customers that they want more access to digital assets. And we are excited to continue expanding our crypto offerings,” said Johan Kerbrat, Vice President and General Manager, Robinhood Crypto.

The news comes at a time when President-elect Donald Trump who will take up the position in January It is expected to drive only minimal crypto-related innovation. One of his pre-election promises was the resignation of US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) Chairman Gary Gensler.

Last year, Robinhood shut down support for several tokens, including SOL and ADA, after some were named as securities in the SEC’s lawsuit against Binance and Coinbase.

Industry leaders hope to receive more clarity from the SEC on which tokens will and will not be considered securities. Gensler is president. It does not provide any guidance to companies on this matter. The cryptocurrency exchange has been accused of violating federal securities laws by offering unregistered securities.
